As a missionary with the International Mission Board, Dr. Yoakum teaches practical theology at the Ecole Superieure Baptiste de Theologie de l’Afrique de l’Ouest in Lome, Togo.
He also pursues evangelism/church planting using holistic practices, including humanitarian aid, microfinance, and medical relief. He holds a M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, TX, a D.Min. from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO, and a Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
He is married is to Kimberly and they have 4 children.
