Kenneth Mbugua is the senior pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Nairobi, Kenya and is a Council member of The Gospel Coalition Africa. He is the Managing Director of Ekklesia Africa which promotes biblical resources for building healthy churches.

Kenneth is married to Arlette and they have two children, Eden Muthoni and Zion Mbugua.

At ABTEN 2019, Rev. Mbugua spoke on the topic of “Baptist Distinctives: The Non-Negotiables.” In the talk he embarked on a mini survey of Congregationalism and Regenerate church membership. These two baptist distinctives define the line around the Baptist faith. He looked at the development of these doctrines in church history, argue their importance to the church in Africa and propose the path towards reclaiming these critical truths in our day.
